Over a very good product. 9/10. Installation was a little more of a chore. The custom nut/wrench thing is more trouble than it's worth. Had to call customer service and they were very responsive and helpful. My only gripe is that I needed a 4-rod carrier and I didn't look closely enough at the description of the four-rod carrier - it's just two separate two-rod holders with a $150 discount on the second one. My mistake. I would have preferred a 4-rod carrier with a single mount or as a single unit.

After careful consideration and extensive deliberation, we concluded that key matching two 2-rod units offered several advantages over a single fixed 4-rod carrier. While the latter would require the use of four mounting clamps due to its size and weight, the former maintains versatility and ease of use. Here are some key benefits:
Versatility: The ability to move around existing rooftop accessories such as solar panels, skyboxes, and ski racks without compromising functionality, which may not be feasible with a single large fixed unit.
Separation: Customers have the flexibility to separate the units, allowing for various applications such as outfitting a friend's vehicle for a trip, attaching one to a boat trailer, or using one on a raft.
Length Options: With two separate units, users can choose to mount one in a shorter length for smaller or lighter rods while retaining the full extension for longer rods on the other unit.

Have had many rod boxes but these are the best. Light, easy to take off if needed, store rods in house when off season comes and guides up so no catches.

Redesigned Housing & Hatch
The main housing has been overhauled with a new and improved 360° double baffle seal, and rigid, reinforced hatch opening that provides even greater security and strength.
New Metal - New Colors
We invested in all new extrusion tooling and upgraded the aluminum telescopic sections of CRC v3.0 to be more rigid and have a tighter fit. This is also the first time we will be offering the CRC System in the new blackout colorway. Both the silver and black versions feature Mil-Spec hard anodized finishes.
Integrated Hatch Handle
The redesigned hatch also includes a reinforced, integral finger pull. This upgrade eliminates the need for secondary parts and allows for easy, one handed operation. We also designed this feature to boost security by providing additional reinforcement to the latch area.
Best In Class Rod & Reel Protection
We build every CRC System here in Helena, MT with USA manufactured rod liners that suspend your fly rods inside the aluminum sections with soft walled HDPE plastic mounted on our proprietary spring system. And every CRC System comes standard with installed reel padding inside the main housing. Because you bought this to protect your gear, and we take that seriously.
Top Shelf Hardware
A product is only as good as the nuts and bolts that make it whole. We've used the best grades of stainless steel and weather resistant materials throughout the CRC System, including upgraded hatch springs for a snappy feel and a polished finish on the telescopic stop buttons.
