The unit works as described. Collapses & extends with no issues.
I'll be honest, after spending $700 on a product it would have been nice for the manufacture to through in the $10 shoulder strap.
Take note fellow Anglers, it does not come with the shoulder strap. You will need to purchase it separate.

Well I bought this with the only mounting bracket available and that was the standard bracket. Three hours later I calmed down and simply packed up the project until I could work out a better mount. I did speak to someone on the phone and they said they were going to get back to me with some other options but never heard back. My cross bars are 80-20 very standard. I used some off the shelf 80-20 components and starboard plastic to create a base that better supported the vault to prevent rocking. Simple threaded bolt through a threaded three hole 80/20 t nut and “bobs your uncle” goes on in minutes.

Longer rods were causing me problems since they did not fit in my 2.0 CRC. Problem solved. The longer version and in an all black offering made it an easy call to upgrade. Depending on my setup: Now you see it. Now you don’t. There are some nice improvements with the 3.0 as well. I like the new door latch and the T slot mounts. This carrier saves me time and energy and I get more time on the river and less time putting up and taking down rods on short trips. Trxstle’s service is excellent to top it off.
