Universal T-Track Mounting for Every Trxstle Rod Carrier

T-Track Fishing Rod Carrier Mounts: A Better Way to Mount Your Rod Carrier

If your roof rack has a T-track or T-slot built into the crossbars, you can take advantage of it with a mounting system designed specifically for a cleaner, lower-profile and fully locking installation.

Introducing the Trxstle Universal T-Track Mounting Kit.

Designed to mount directly into the T-track channels found on most modern roof rack crossbars, these mounts create an incredibly low-profile, secure connection between your roof rack and fishing rod carrier.

Better yet, we designed one mounting system to work across the entire Trxstle rod carrier lineup—from our CRC System fly rod carriers to the ARC System all-rod fishing rod carrier.

One mount. Every Trxstle rod carrier. Virtually every standard T-track roof rack.

What Is a T-Track Roof Rack?

T-tracks—also commonly called T-slots—are channels built into many factory and aftermarket roof rack crossbars.

Instead of wrapping a bracket around the outside of the crossbar, compatible accessories can attach directly to the channel using T-nuts or T-bolts that slide inside the track.

For fishing rod carriers, that has some major advantages.

A properly designed T-track mounting system can reduce the height of the rod carrier above the crossbars, eliminate bulky hardware underneath the bars, and create a clean, secure mounting point directly to the rack.

That's particularly useful on vehicles where clearance between the crossbar and roof is limited.

Universal T-Track Mounts for Fishing Rod Carriers

There's one problem with calling anything involving roof racks "universal":

There are a lot of roof racks out there.

Different manufacturers use slightly different crossbar profiles, channel dimensions, hardware sizes and bolt patterns. We wanted to eliminate as much of that compatibility headache as possible.

So instead of designing our Universal T-Track Mounting Kit around one specific rack or one specific rod carrier, we built it to work across a wide range of setups.

Each kit includes both M6 and M8 stainless steel T-track mounting hardware, covering the vast majority of common crossbar applications.

The mounting base also incorporates multiple mounting positions designed to align with common single-track and double-track crossbar configurations.

That means fewer adapters, fewer compatibility questions and less hunting around for additional hardware before you can install your fishing rod carrier.

For unusual or proprietary T-track systems outside common M6 and M8 configurations, manufacturer-specific hardware may still be required.

One Mount for Every Trxstle Rod Carrier

We didn't want CRC owners to need one mounting system and ARC owners to need another.

The Universal T-Track Mounting Kit works with all Trxstle rod carriers.

That includes:

If you're changing vehicles, upgrading your roof rack or moving from one Trxstle carrier to another, the same T-track mounting platform can stay part of your setup.

That's what we mean by universal.

Just 1.15 Inches Above the Crossbar

One of the biggest reasons we wanted a dedicated T-track mount was simple:

Get the carrier closer to the rack.

The Trxstle Universal T-Track Mount is only 1.15 inches tall, making it our lowest-profile rod carrier mounting solution.

That keeps the carrier tucked tightly against the crossbars instead of unnecessarily raising it several inches above the rack.

It also eliminates the need for a mounting bracket to wrap underneath the crossbar, which can be particularly important with factory racks and other setups where there isn't much space between the crossbar and vehicle roof.

The result is a clean, compact installation that looks like it belongs on the rack.

Stainless Steel Where It Matters

Low profile doesn't mean lightweight construction.

The Universal T-Track Mounts are built from stainless steel, including the mounting hardware, with metal components electroplated in a clean black finish.

Rubber contact points sit between the mount and rod carrier to protect the carrier's finish while creating a secure interface between components.

Each mounting kit includes two complete mounts—everything required to secure one Trxstle rod carrier.

We chose stainless steel intentionally. This is the hardware physically connecting a fishing rod carrier—and potentially thousands of dollars in rods and reels—to the roof rack of a moving vehicle.

We wanted that connection built from metal.

Locking Security Built Into the Mount

A fishing rod carrier can be carrying thousands of dollars in rods and reels. We think the hardware securing that carrier to your vehicle should be protected, too.

That's why locking security is built directly into every Trxstle Universal T-Track Mount.

Once the mount is installed, a metal security shroud completely covers the mounting hardware. The shroud is secured using a keyed metal lock core, preventing access to the bolts and hardware underneath without first unlocking and removing the shroud.

It's not simply a cover hiding an exposed bolt. It's a physical, locking metal barrier designed to prevent normal access to the hardware securing your rod carrier to the crossbar.

Not All "Covered" Mounting Hardware Is Locked

This is an important distinction when comparing T-track mounting systems.

Some competing systems, including the Riversmith River Quiver T-track mounting option, use a plastic mount with standard mounting hardware and a removable plastic cover over the bolt.

That cover may conceal the mounting hardware, but it does not provide the same keyed, locking metal barrier protecting access to the hardware underneath.

We took a different approach:

Stainless steel mount. Metal security shroud. Metal lock core. Keyed access.

For us, security shouldn't stop at locking the rods inside the carrier. The connection between the carrier and the vehicle deserves the same attention.

M6 + M8 T-Track Hardware Included

Compatibility often comes down to something surprisingly small:

The hardware.

That's why every Trxstle Universal T-Track Mounting Kit includes hardware for both common M6 and M8 T-track applications.

Included mounting components cover the vast majority of standard roof rack T-track configurations, including the T-nuts and bolts required for installation.

There shouldn't be another parts hunt after opening the box.

For the occasional proprietary or highly specialized rack that falls outside common M6 or M8 configurations, you may need compatible hardware directly from the roof rack manufacturer.

T-Track vs. Traditional Clamp-On Fishing Rod Carrier Mounts

Traditional roof rack mounts generally clamp around the crossbar.

There's nothing inherently wrong with that—we've used universal clamp-style mounting solutions for years, and they're still a great choice for crossbars without T-tracks.

But if your rack already provides a mounting channel, using it makes a lot of sense.

A dedicated T-track fishing rod carrier mount can offer:

  • A significantly lower mounting position
  • No bracket wrapping underneath the crossbar
  • Better compatibility with low-clearance factory roof racks
  • A cleaner finished installation
  • Direct attachment to the crossbar's accessory channel
  • Locking security
  • Less unnecessary hardware surrounding the crossbar

If your crossbars don't have T-tracks, our standard universal mounting systems remain the better option.

If they do, we'd use them.

What to Look for in a T-Track Fishing Rod Carrier Mount

Not all T-track mounting systems are built the same.

If you're comparing mounting options for a fly rod carrier, rooftop fishing rod carrier or fishing rod roof rack, there are a few things worth paying attention to: construction materials, security, overall height, included hardware and compatibility.

Start With the Materials

The mount is the physical connection between the roof rack and everything above it.

Trxstle Universal T-Track Mounts use stainless steel construction with rubber contact points, rather than relying on a plastic mount body.

Other systems take different approaches. The Riversmith River Quiver T-track mount, for example, uses a plastic/composite mount body.

For us, stainless steel was an intentional choice. When you're securing a rod carrier and expensive fishing equipment to a vehicle traveling at highway speeds, we prefer metal for the structural components making that connection.

Look at How Low the Carrier Actually Sits

One of the biggest advantages of using the T-track is getting rid of unnecessary mounting height.

The Trxstle Universal T-Track Mount adds just 1.15 inches of rise above the crossbar.

That creates an exceptionally low-profile installation while also helping with factory roof racks and other applications where clearance underneath the crossbar is limited.

Check What's Actually Included

"T-track compatible" doesn't necessarily mean the correct mounting hardware for your crossbars is included.

Every Trxstle kit includes both M6 and M8 stainless steel T-track hardware, covering the vast majority of common T-track roof rack configurations.

Some competing systems may require different or manufacturer-specific hardware depending on the dimensions of the crossbar's T-track.

There will always be unusual or proprietary roof rack designs, but our goal was to cover as many common applications as possible right out of the box.

Think Beyond the Carrier You Own Today

Compatibility shouldn't stop at the roof rack.

The Trxstle Universal T-Track Mounting Kit works with every Trxstle rod carrier, from CRC System fly rod carriers to the ARC System designed for virtually all fishing rod styles.

That means one mounting platform works across the Trxstle lineup.

For us, that's what universal should actually mean.

Will Trxstle T-Track Mounts Fit My Roof Rack?

If your crossbars have standard T-track or T-slot channels, there's a very good chance they will.

The system was designed around common hardware standards used throughout the roof rack industry and includes both M6 and M8 mounting options.

Before ordering, check your crossbars for a T-track channel. On many racks, this is found underneath a removable rubber strip running along the top of the crossbar.

Some specialty, custom and proprietary rack systems use unique channel dimensions or hardware. In those less-common situations, compatible T-track hardware may need to come directly from the rack manufacturer.

Will They Fit Single-Track and Double-Track Crossbars?

The Universal T-Track Mount base incorporates multiple mounting positions designed to align with most common single-track and double-track crossbar configurations.

This gives the mount considerably more flexibility across different roof rack designs without requiring an entirely different mounting system.

Do the T-Track Mounts Fit CRC Fly Rod Carriers?

Yes.

The Universal T-Track Mounting Kit works with all Trxstle CRC System fly rod carriers.

That means CRC owners can use the same low-profile, locking T-track mounting system regardless of carrier length, rod capacity or color.

Do the T-Track Mounts Fit the ARC Fishing Rod Carrier?

Yes.

The same Universal T-Track Mounting Kit works with the Trxstle ARC System, our adjustable rooftop fishing rod carrier designed for virtually all rod styles.

No separate ARC-specific T-track mounting system is required.

Are Trxstle T-Track Mounts Plastic?

No.

Trxstle Universal T-Track Mounts are constructed from stainless steel, with rubber contact points and a locking metal security shroud.

Unlike some fishing rod carrier T-track mounting systems that use plastic/composite mount bodies, Trxstle chose metal construction for the structural components securing the rod carrier to the roof rack.

Do Trxstle T-Track Mounts Lock?

Yes.

Each mount incorporates a metal locking security shroud and keyed metal lock core. Once locked, the metal shroud covers the mounting hardware and prevents normal access to the bolts securing the rod carrier to the crossbar.

This means both the carrier and the mounting connection can be secured rather than simply covering exposed mounting hardware with a removable plastic cap.

What's Included?

Each Universal T-Track Mounting Kit includes two complete mounts, which is everything required to mount one Trxstle rod carrier.

The kit includes:

  • Two stainless steel Universal T-Track Mounts
  • M6 stainless steel T-track hardware
  • M8 stainless steel T-track hardware
  • T-nuts and bolts
  • Locking metal security shrouds
  • Metal lock cores and keys
  • Rubber contact padding
  • Carrier mounting hardware

The goal was pretty simple:

Open the box. Pick the hardware that matches your rack. Mount your carrier.

The Best Mount Is the One You Don't Have to Think About

Roof rack compatibility can get complicated fast.

We'd rather make it simpler.

Our Universal T-Track Mounting Kit was designed around the same philosophy behind our rod carriers: build adjustability, security and compatibility into the product instead of making customers work around the product.
