Who are ya?
I'm originally from Petaluma, Ca and moved to AZ when I was young and have been here now for 30 years! I've always had a passion for the outdoors and its only become stronger as I've gotten older. Fly Fishing has become a major part of my life. I started in 2015 and never looked back. The adventure of what's around the next bend and the good friends I share these experiences with is what keeps me going.
Favorite species of fish to target on the fly?
Trout for sure, it's always been trout and that'll never change.
What is your favorite fly rod and reel setup that you use most often?
A 4wt Scott G Series and a Ross Colorado LT!
We know you live in Arizona, what can you tell people that may surprise them about the Arizona fishery?
It's incredible, we have such an amazing trout fishery with well over 1000 miles of trout streams going all the way up to almost 10k feet elevation. We definitely aren't spoiled compared to some states. We have to work hard for our wild trout, especially the sizable ones. It requires a lot of miles and research but it's worth every minute.

Scandinavian swimmers (Trader Joes version of Swedish fish but MUCH better), Kind fruit bars, jerky and of course beer!

Never miss a moment to stop what you're doing and look up, especially when Fly Fishing. The beauty that surrounds us is something I've definitely taken for granted.
